4) Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

Google Analytics may set cookies and process data on our behalf. Depending on your settings and how the service is configured, data may be transferred outside the EEA (see Section 7).

You can control cookies through your browser settings (including blocking or deleting cookies). If your site includes cookie controls, you can also manage your preferences there.

6) How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with:

  • Service providers (processors) who help us run the website and platform (e.g., hosting, security, analytics such as Google Analytics)

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as:

  • European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) (and UK addendum where applicable), and
  • additional protections where required.

You can request more information about safeguards by contacting us at privacy@theaiu.ai.

8) Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, security, and operational requirements.

Typical retention may include:

You can request deletion of your account (Section 10). Some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate interests such as security and dispute resolution.

9) Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and secure hosting. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and respond quickly to security issues.
